Enterprise Class Outdoor Wireless Access Point

The Pakedge WAP-O2 is a enterprise class, outdoor hardened wireless access point. The WAP-O2 provides a custom installer with a reliable outdoor solution that extends wireless signal coverage over outdoor real estate such as backyards, pool areas, or even a boat docked outside a residence. Imagine using a wireless touch panel to control pool equipment while actually in the pool! Another ideal deployment is to use the WAP-O2 to bridge wireless coverage between Pakedge’s In-Ceiling model, the WAP-C2 and wall-mount model, the WAP-W2. WAP-O2 power output is adjustable. It has one of the highest power ratings (200mW) on the market today. In addition, the WAP-O2 is networked and powered by a single Cat5e cable and is fully 802.3af compliant. The WAP-O2 housing is made of a rugged, heat finned diecast aluminum designed to endure almost any outdoor condition. The WAP-O2 has many features that simplify the installation of multiple access points, resulting in a seamless roaming wireless network experience. In addtion, the WAP-O2 thoughput is not only optimized for data networks, but for wireless home controls/touchpanels.

Note: Power must be supplied to access point with optional PoE injector PI-02 or PoE Switches SW8-4P or SW8-4BP.
