BakPak® Cloud Management System
Smarter network management.
Keep your high performance Pakedge network running at its best with the BakPak Cloud Management System. Its "fog + cloud" architecture enables the network to be managed remotely through the cloud anywhere, anytime and on any device while onboard Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms autonomously scan, adapt, and respond in real time to ever changing conditions for complete system control.
What if you knew the moment something was wrong with your network?
Intelligent alerts provide immediate notification of problems in the network – directly through e-mail, SMS, or through the BakPak Cloud App itself. All detected faults are validated through situational-aware AI algorithms to eliminate false and misleading alerts, and provide accurate usable information to take action on.
The intuitive visual dashboard design lets you see the state of the network in one view. Drill down to specific networks or devices for more information, to take action and to manage the network. A green, yellow, and red color coding scheme simplifies interpretation of the information presented.
BakPak provides a full suite of tools to allow users to know everything there is to know about their networks. At-a-glance tools show new firmware, configuration backup status, device temperatures, current, IP addresses, and even non-IP devices behind control systems. Logging and Reporting functionality allows users to view and send history of events, repairs, and device status throughout the network.
What if your network could heal itself?
Detect & Repair
BakPak detects problems on the network and takes proactive steps to both repair them automatically and alert users to issues that cannot be repaired. In addition to basic online/offline detection, BakPak detects IP conflicts, abnormal packet loss, and devices that require STP, quickly alerting users to these problems and allowing users to fully optimize their networks.
Self Healing Intelligence
BakPak is designed as more than a management system – it's built with advanced artificial intelligence to anticipate your network's needs and take care of them for you. Device Self-Healing allows BakPak to ping devices on the network, rebooting devices connected to a PoE switch or PDU automatically if they don't respond – ensuring 100% device uptime.
Troubleshoot & Repair
Built-in troubleshooting tools enable users to work in conjunction with BakPak's self-healing functionality to automate processes that an integrator would otherwise spend time managing. In case of a network outage, TriPlex runs through a list of steps to attempt to diagnose the issue – giving users invaluable information about where problems are originating on a network and how to begin repairing them.
What if your network could self-configure?
Auto Device Discovery
BakPak automatically scans any connected network and brings up a full list of connected devices without intervention or configuration, including IP addresses, MAC addresses, and more. BakPak scans across VLANs, giving a complete network map even on segmented networks.
Auto-Mapping functionality allows BakPak to automatically generating a network map, showing what devices are connected to one another – even wireless and IoT devices, connected ports, device hierarchy, and more.
Cloud Firmware Update
BakPak takes the complicated task of keeping firmware up to date and removes the complexity. BakPak monitors the cloud for new firmware for all Pakedge devices, shows the user when new firmware is available, and allows the user to download and install new firmware through a cloud-based, one-touch process.
BakPak allows device configurations to be backed up directly to the cloud for easy device replacement in case of failure. No additional setup or configuration required – simply swap out the affected unit and restore configurations from the cloud.
What if you could change the way you interact with networks?
BakPak's virtualization technology revolutionizes how networks are managed by integrating the different components together at the digital level. This approach decouples device intelligence from the physical unit and allows devices, whether on the same network but in different locations, or in different locations on different networks around the world, to be grouped together and operated in ways not possible before.
How does it work?
Network devices across VLANs, including those connected to Control4 and Crestron controllers, are continuously scanned for proper operation and uptime.
Device faults are detected, analyzed and interpreted by the onboard Artificial Intelligence engine. Technicians are automatically notified through email, SMS or the BakPak app.
Permissions are manually set in advance or in real time, to designate and authorize technicians to respond. Access can be customized for each technician, and be limited to specific networks, devices, and ports.
Automated diagnostics and self-healing algorithms attempt to self-restore device and network operation. Advanced diagnostics tools, including Triplex, facilitate any manual troubleshooting.
A single dashboard provides secure access to specific device portals for advanced device configuration and management. Network management activities, including firmware and configuration restores is performed through BakPak dashboard.
View current and historical system logs, unit history, and status of devices and network. Define, schedule and send reports to users.
